Environmental Control

An often overlooked healthcare

Assistive technology is an umbrella term that includes assistive, adaptive, and rehabilitative devices for people with disabilities and also includes the process used in selecting, locating, and using them. Assistive technology promotes greater independence by enabling people to perform tasks that they were formerly unable to, or had great difficulty accomplishing, by providing enhancements to, or changing methods of interacting with the technology needed to accomplish such tasks.

An environmental control device is a form of electronic assistive technology which enables people with a disability to independently access equipment in their environment, whether that be home, hospital or somewhere else.

A Controller is the device that controls the equipment – like a remote control. You can use the controller to select a range of different options, each of which will control a piece of equipment in a pre-configured way. It is our expertise of configuring devices in the way that you need them that separates us from the rest.
